Promium® to help fund restoration of Gulf Coast wildlife and wetlands.

Percentage of LIMS sales to Gulf Coast labs will go back to the community.

BOTHELL, WA, July 28, 2009 - BOTHELL, WA. (August 23, 2010) - Promium, LLC announced today that a portion of proceeds from a campaign targeted at testing laboratories located in the Gulf Coast states will be contributed to help fund the restoration of the Gulf Coast wildlife and wetlands devastated by the recent oil spill.

Promium will donate up to five percent of the value of the LIMS software revenue generated from the sales to analytical laboratories in the Gulf Coast states of Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and Florida as part of this specific campaign.

"The oil spill has had a profound impact on the Gulf region and analytical laboratories will play a critical role in the near-term and for years to come in testing and monitoring potential contamination," said Scot Cocanour, Promium CEO. Prior to founding Promium, Mr. Cocanour was the owner and operator of an environmental testing laboratory. "We have already heard from several labs that they are overwhelmed by the testing volumes caused in part by the oil spill. A key factor in improving their response is the implementation of a more efficient laboratory information management system (LIMS). Element DataSystem® LIMS is a solution to that problem. Element is a significant driver of productivity because it automates sample management, data entry, and reporting."

While a certain amount of the oil has reportedly been dispersed or removed, there is an ongoing effort to clean up, preserve and monitor the wildlife, wetlands, and food supply in the area. To help with that effort, Promium decided to get more directly involved by donating resources to the restoration effort. "We chose to support this cause because of the scope of the need and the impact on our customers," said Cocanour. "It is a way for us to give back to the Gulf Coast community at a time when they truly can use our help."
